My favorite Metallica record. RTL! This came out when i was in the 7th grade heard this , i was blown away. Heavy ass shit! Super original sound, and influential as hell. Then came Master Of Puppets another killer album. Kill em All was good, but it had way too much NWOBHM. These 2 records is all that is needed to realize their greatness! This put the bay area metal scene on the map forever! And justice for all was good. I did not like the black album. They lost that Metallic edge after that!! By the Escape is such underrated song!!

Yeah Ron played well and Mustaine was a big dickhead back then. It seems like still years later at the reunion as well Mustaine was still treating Ron like shit. Don’t get me wrong I love Dave’s music but he was probably such a gigantic egotistical asshole. Hence why he was tossed. Also without Cliff they never would have reached that epic sound they got from him. RIP Cliff the best of them all.
